Verdy Verna

Commercial and wedding photographer, founder of Verna
Visuals, cuts to the heart of culture through his immersive aesthetic style. Based in Port-au-Prince, Verdy’s portfolio spans tourism, hotels, weddings and the arts. In 2019, he started capturing a portrait series of Haitian spiritual representations in Vaudou. This project led him to a career high: working with platinum-certified
rapper Kodak Black, art directing the album cover for ‘Haitian Boy Kodak’ (2021).

history

Capturing Memories

Verdy’s creative career developed after his fascination with photography began.
While studying International Agribusiness at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Verdy would regularly venture to the nearby forest in Tallahassee to capture nature everyday. He began posting his nature photography on social media and soon built up a significant following. In 2014, after working as a graphic designer for Haiti Aviation, he decided to move to Haiti.
